My Story

Hello! My name is Sunhee, creator of One Thing Today sticky notes. I would like to share how I decided to create these notes.

In 2012, I experienced a shocking life event. I was practicing swimming at a nearby pool and nearly drowned. I never thought something like this would happen to me. It was terrifying.

After recovering, I looked back and re-evaluated my life. I realized that I’d been living rather passively.

I was always afraid, too cautious, too often putting off the things I wanted to do.

I would tell people that I loved traveling and wanted to travel someday but it never happened. I told friends i wanted to move to San Francisco where i had fallen in love many years before, but I stayed put in Boston. I said I wanted to be more outgoing and meet new people but I rarely did it. The days just passed. I worked, I lived my life, but I didn’t go for the things I really cared about or wanted to do.

I needed a change. I‘d always loved learning about how to find happiness, a fulfilling life, a day better spent. I’d read online articles, blogs, and books and even used a special journal.

But when it came to taking action, it was just too overwhelming. I kept consuming the information but there was no action or follow-through.

So i finally decided to design a simple and easy system for myself. That’s when I created the One Thing Today notes. And it worked for me. I saw some small and big changes right away. I became more productive, outgoing, courageous gradually little by little.

It created ripple effect. I did more activities that I loved or activities that can help me grow instead of delaying.

And I decided to make these notes available for others so they could benefit.
